Conversion Rate
The most important metrics of your website is conversion rate – what percent of your website’s visitors converts, or takes the action you want them to take?
Most often this action is to opt-in (to build a list), or to buy – generate a sale.
Majority of online business owners throw up a website and hope for the best. Some promote their websites, but without testing any of the sales copy/content on the website or any of the on-page elements.
BIG mistake!
Professional marketers and the most profitable business owners test different website elements to improve conversion rate, to generate more sales. For example, lets assume you sell a $100-dollar product, your website gets 1,000 visitors per month, and your conversion rate is internet’s average of 1% (meaning 1 out of 100 visitors buys). You make $1,000 dollars.
What if, by improving your sales copy and different on-page elements, I could increase your conversion rate to 4, 5, 7, or 9%? At 9% conversion rate you will $9,000, or $8,000 dollars more then you did before with exactly the same number of visitors!
