Investing

I got interested in investing since middle school. One of the first books I read in English cover to cover was on hedging stock purchases with options, and I was hooked ever since.

I traded in high school, evolved to long term investing, and eventually stuck to researching investing and portfolio risk management principles of Seth Klarman, Joel Greenblatt, David Swensen, and obviously Buffett, and Dodd. As such, my philosophy is one of value investing, based on three cornerstones:

    1. Margin of Safety – to identify investments selling at significant discounts to their intrinsic value.
    2. Risk Management – preservation of capital through numerous risk management parameters is the first and foremost priority.
    3. Proprietary research – with Wall Street mechanics against the investor, proprietary and unbiased research is the only viable option to consistently identify worthy investment opportunities.
